Free PDF to JPG – how it works
PDF to JPG renders each page of a PDF into a JPEG image at the resolution and quality you choose. This is useful when you need to embed a PDF's visual content into an image editor, post a page as a social media image, or extract visual content from a PDF that does not allow copying.
Rendering is powered by pdf.js, Mozilla's open-source PDF engine, running entirely in the browser. Each page is drawn to an off-screen canvas at your chosen DPI, then encoded as a JPEG. Multiple pages are packaged into a ZIP file for a single download.
The output images are pixel-accurate representations of each page. They do not contain selectable text. For text extraction, use the PDF to Text tool instead.
How to use PDF to JPG online
- Upload your PDF. Drop the PDF file into the tool or click to browse. The file is processed locally — no upload occurs.
- Choose resolution and quality. Set the DPI (72 for web use, 150 for standard print, 300 for high-quality print) and JPEG quality. A page range can be entered to convert only specific pages.
- Convert and download. Click Convert. For a single page the JPEG downloads directly. For multiple pages a ZIP file containing all the JPEGs is downloaded.
